Battlefield 6 Season 2 Start Delayed Until February 17th
If you really enjoyed the content of the first season in Battlefield 6, you now have some extra time to mess around a bit more.
Battlefield Studios announced the start date for the second season and also announced an extension of the current one.
The second season in Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC will begin on February 17th — about a month later than expected. According to the developers, the extra time is needed to improve the content and implement fixes based on community feedback.
An update-extension for the current season will be released on January 20th. It will add new weekly challenges, a bonus track, and a continuation for the battle pass. The first season will also now feature a Valentine's Day celebration.
Starting January 27th, it will be possible to progress through the Frostfire bonus track and unlock new free and premium customization rewards, including a weapon set and an additional vehicle skin. The novelty of Frostfire is that points for its progression can only be earned by completing weekly assignments. There are no separate bonus challenges for this track.
Battlefield Studios promised to share details about the second season of the new "Battlefield" in February.
Recall that Battlefield 6 was released on October 10, 2025, on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series without Russian localization.
