UltraKill Shooter Receives Eighth "Circle of Hell" Fraud with a Batch of New Levels

The ultra-violent shooter ULTRAKILL has received the long-awaited eighth "circle (layer) of hell" named Fraud. Players can look forward to a set of new levels, which can be glimpsed in the release trailer.

The locations turned out to be extremely unusual. In some places, it's office spaces, while elsewhere players will encounter gloomy red corridors.

Another new addition is the track N I 4 N I for the endless Cyber Grind mode.

Otherwise, the fresh update is limited to balance tweaks and bug fixes. For example:

  • The melee chainsaw on the sawed-off shotgun breaks after 60 non-lethal hits.
  • The knuckleduster, however, received increased attack range and health recovery from hits.
  • The harpoon got an increased damage radius.

The bug fixes mainly concern level geometry.

Judging by recent ULTRAKILL reviews on Steam, gamers liked the new levels. Some appreciated the high difficulty of the eighth circle of hell, while others considered it proof of the game's "greatness."

It's worth recalling that the ULTRAKILL shooter entered Early Access in 2020 and has since earned extremely positive user reviews on Steam. The updates won't stop at the eighth circle of hell — the bloody game will continue to be expanded with new levels. However, they aren't made quickly — the seventh circle was released at the end of 2023.
