Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 will be released everywhere at once

It seems Sony is losing one of its timed exclusives. According to the latest reports from reputable insiders (including NateTheHate) and official statements from Square Enix itself, the final part of the remake trilogy Final Fantasy VII will not be a timed PlayStation exclusive.

Unlike the first part (Remake) and the second (Rebirth), which initially launched only on Sony consoles, the third part will debut simultaneously on PS5, PC (Steam/EGS), Xbox Series X/S, and, most interestingly, on the Nintendo Switch 2. At least, that's what the insiders claim. This information is, of course, completely unofficial.

Insiders expect the large-scale marketing campaign for Part 3 to begin in the summer of 2026 (possibly at Summer Game Fest). By that time, FFVII Rebirth will already be available on Switch 2 and Xbox (expected in June 2026), setting the stage for the grand finale.
