Retro Fighting Game Based on "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" Franchise to Launch in April

Limited Run Games has announced that the game He‑Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction will go on sale on April 28. Along with the announcement, the publisher released a fresh trailer showcasing the gameplay and visual style of the project.

The game will be released on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, and Steam.

The game is a cooperative 2D action title with a retro aesthetic, focusing on magical abilities and dynamic battles. The developers promise over a dozen diverse levels filled with continuous combat, as well as a wide array of moves, power-ups, and special attacks.

The project is being developed by Bitmap Bureau with the participation of Mattel and is inspired by the classic adventures of the heroes of Eternia. Players will have access to He-Man, Man-At-Arms, and Teela, with She-Ra becoming available after completion. Each character features a unique style—from powerful attacks to more technical and mobile combat.

The creators position the game as a nostalgic return to the spirit of classic arcades, aimed at fans of the franchise and lovers of pixel-based beat 'em ups.
