A week after the announcement, the remake Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has already picked up about one million wishlist additions. Ubisoft says that number covers all platforms, and it will almost certainly climb as the July 9 release approaches.
Development is happening on the current Anvil engine, with tech from Shadows stitched in — e.g., the dynamic Atmos weather system and tweaked parkour mechanics. Fans, predictably, aren't all thrilled: many are grumpy about the missing multiplayer, uncertain DLC plans, and the odd design choice that prevents selecting the hidden blade as a separate weapon. Still, despite those cuts from the original, the remake remains one of the most talked-about releases right now — weird, a little messy, but clearly attracting attention.
