PS5 Version of Avowed to Release on February 17 Alongside Anniversary Update
In December 2025, Obsidian Entertainment announced that the major update for Avowed in celebration of the game's first anniversary would be delayed until February. It has finally settled on a release date — February 17. The release will coincide with the launch of the PlayStation 5 version.
The update will add a "New Game +" mode, photo mode, a new weapon type, the ability to play as more races (dwarves, orlans, aumaua), and more to Avowed. The update will be available on all platforms.
Lead character artist Dmitri Berman explained that more races in the character editor were considered in the early stages of Avowed's development. However, the idea had to be shelved due to the complexity of implementing it correctly, especially considering the parkour system, combat, varied weapons, and so on.
All our races have different heights and builds, and each should offer a unique first-person gameplay experience. It would have been a completely new challenge for us. We wouldn't have met the Avowed development timeline, but now we can provide it to players.

Initially, Avowed was released on February 18, 2025, on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store, Battle.net) and Xbox Series, including Game Pass. Pre-orders are already available on PlayStation Store — priced at 50 dollars or 2,099 lira for the standard edition. The game includes a Russian text translation.
