A Listing on the PEGI Site Revealed an Unannounced Life is Strange About Max and Chloe
As it's known, there are no secrets on rating agency websites. This time, thanks to PEGI, details emerged about a new installment in the Life is Strange series titled Life is Strange: Reunion.
According to the description, Reunion will reunite beloved characters Max Caulfield and Chloe Price. Chloe, tormented by nightmares and "impossible memories," appears at Caledonian University to seek help from her old friend. Max herself is also dealing with troubles, as a deadly fire is set to destroy the campus in three days. Sounds familiar, right?
The game received a "16+" rating due to profanity, drug use, scenes of violence, and depiction of blood. Listed as the creator is Square Enix, but there were earlier rumors that the studio Deck Nine is preparing a continuation of Life is Strange: Double Exposure. A former Deck Nine employee mentioned that a sequel is expected to release sometime in 2026.
"This is Double Exposure 2, which is likely to come out in 2026. DE2 was part of the DE contract between Square Enix and Deck Nine. Creating the second part was never in question," — clarified a former developer.
PEGI's site states that Life is Strange: Reunion will release on PlayStation 5 relatively soon — March 27. However, the year is listed as 2025. Either it's a placeholder, and the actual release date is different, or the person filling out the form mistakenly entered 2025 instead of the newly arrived 2026. We will have to wait for an official announcement to know for sure.
To note, Double Exposure is currently the latest part of the series — the game was released at the end of October 2024 and told the story of an adult Max. The franchise will also venture into new territory with a TV adaptation — the first Life is Strange will receive a series from Amazon.
