Autonomous Sims, Family Trees, and No Revolutions: The Sims 4 Roadmap Through the End of the Year
Electronic Arts has presented a roadmap of updates for The Sims 4. The developers will focus on improving quality of life and fixing long-standing issues.
From March to August, they will refine the infant system and sim autonomy. Characters will become more independent, sometimes annoyingly so—interrupting conversations or choosing inappropriate places for activities. They will also work on technical stability.
From September to December, they will improve sim behavior during meals and overhaul family trees to better preserve players' stories.
The studio's main focus remains on Project Rene—a multiplayer project set in The Sims universe. Its release date is unknown.
