The creators of The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin ran a live stream to unpack what’s coming — plot points, how the world works, the feel of combat, and how the shop will behave. Fans got details; some sounded promising, others raised questions.
Story-wise, the game picks up 3 years after the manga’s finale. A magical anomaly has tangled Britannia’s past and future, and Prince Tristan is the character tasked with trying to put things back in order. Nakaba Suzuki, the manga’s author, contributed exclusive character designs. At launch the narrative is split into twelve acts (esp. useful for those who like structured progress).
The open world aims to recreate locations players will recognize: Lioness Castle, Fairy King’s Forest, and more. You’ll gather resources, craft weapons and potions, and tame creatures that give passive bonuses or act as mounts — all the usual sandbox hooks, but presented with series-specific flavor.
Combat leans hard into spectacle: flashy ultimates, on-the-fly hero switching, and team combo mechanics. Launch content includes 5 field bosses, 3 dungeons, and 18 heroes, among them Meliodas, King, and Diane — so there’s variety straight away.
Big headline: weapons won’t be behind a gacha. All SSR equipment is said to be craftable from materials found in the world, i.e., exploration and farming matter more than random pulls. On paper that reduces RNG on gear; how it plays out (time sinks, material rarity, etc.) remains to be seen.
The first banner puts Meliodas up for new players for 3 weeks. The summon system offers guarantees at the 80th and 120th pulls. At release the team is handing out tickets, star fragments, and a free SSR heroine, Gil — a decent push for newcomers.
