Legendary Runner Subway Surfers to Get a Sequel Next Month
Danish studio Sybo announced Subway Surfers City — a full-fledged sequel to the iconic mobile runner Subway Surfers, where street artists flee from a relentless guard across endless railway tracks.
The announcement was accompanied by a cinematic trailer, which immediately revealed the release date — Subway Surfers City launches on iOS and Android on February 26 and will be distributed under a free-to-play model.
For the most part, the gameplay remains the same. In the sequel, the developers are introducing three game modes — the classic endless run, missions, and time-limited events. Additionally, the creators promise a deeper character progression system and support for 13 languages, including Russian. At launch, 4 maps are announced, with the studio planning to add new locations over time.
While awaiting the release, players can complete pre-registration, which offers certain "exclusive rewards."
