It looks like AMD may have tried something it once dismissed: a CPU‑Z database entry has appeared for a Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, and that single record has already stirred talk online. The entry itself is simple — model string and a few numbers — but it’s enough to suggest the part exists (or at least that a sample was logged).
The odd detail is the L3 size: 128 MB (L3 = 128 MB), exactly the same as the regular 9950X3D. On the leak, the only other obvious change is the higher TDP (TDP = 200 W). Insiders, by contrast, keep pointing to 3D cache added on both chiplets, which would push L3 up to ~192 MB — so either the DB row is incomplete/misreported or something stranger is going on with the sample shown.
