Head of Palworld Publishing Responds to Accusations of Abandoning the Game
John "Bucky" Buckley, the head of publishing for Palworld at Pocketpair, has allegedly stopped caring about their popular survival game. On social media, he responded to a user who claimed it had become "obvious" over two years of early access that the studio was no longer interested in the project's fate.
Bucky pointed out that during this time, the game has received several major free collaborations, spin-offs are being developed in parallel, and the early access status itself is maintained precisely because the team continues to actively fix bugs and refine content. In his signature ironic style, he joked that "real indifference" would be to hastily release version 1.0, add loot boxes, and shut down the project a year later.
Buckley's words are backed up by recent news: Pocketpair promises a full game release and a wealth of content this year. The developers also plan to release a Palworld-based card/board game.
At the same time, some players remain skeptical due to the studio's past experience — Craftopia.html) has still been in early access since 2020 and has never reached a full release. Therefore, the concerns are understandable, but currently, judging by Pocketpair's actions, Palworld remains the team's main and priority project.
