Nekki studio is inching toward the finish line with the action game SPINE. Combat got a lot of tweaking — hits that feel raw but still look deliberate, honed after rounds of player feedback rather than some ivory-tower decree. Cutscenes receive as much fuss as fight frames; the team treats cinematics like tiny set pieces, frame by frame. One plot focal point: a girl named Maladi, called "a real problem" by the devs — the phrasing suggests trouble on a personal level, not just plot utility. Tensor City is being built as a functioning ecosystem with strict hierarchy and propaganda running everywhere, i.e., the setting itself will push back on the player. Expect locked districts and fresh, dangerous bosses to be shown soon — esp. those areas that are meant to feel off-limits. I confess I'm both intrigued and a bit nervous; the pitch reads less like a tidy résumé and more like someone nudging you and saying, "Watch out."
