Roskomnadzor has tightened the rules for VPN services that bypass the restrictions of the "white list" of sites. According to a source, some VPN providers used the same IP addresses as the permitted sites to bypass the restrictions, which allowed them to disguise prohibited traffic as legal.
Currently, the regulator is reportedly requiring telecom operators not to provide IP addresses from the "white list" to other clients. This has led to VPN services losing a significant portion of their working servers, causing disruptions in their operations.
