The Elder Scrolls Online Team Unveils Game Update Roadmap for March 2026

March in The Elder Scrolls Online promises to be eventful: Update 49 will be released, new reward systems, golden quests, and much more await players in the Zero Season starting in April.

Update 49 will launch on March 9 and will include a revamped Dragonknight, a number of quality-of-life improvements, reward updates, and more.

Starting Monday, March 1, the regular daily login and quest rewards will no longer be active. This is in preparation for the introduction of the new Tamrielic Tomes progression system in the Zero Season. Event tickets will also be removed, and after the update's release, they will be converted into trade ingots for the new Gold Coast Bazaar, which opens on March 25.

Next week, on March 3, a new golden quest—the Seal Festival—will begin, where players can complete tasks to earn rewards.

From March 9 to 25, a mini-event with double experience for each skill line will also take place, which is very convenient considering the debut of the updated Dragonknight and Two-Handed weapon skill lines.

From March 25 to April 2, the Jester's Festival will also return, where players can obtain new themed furnishings and an outfit style.

For the first time, Update 49 will release a new base game update on all platforms on the same day, ensuring gameplay unity for everyone. This rule will apply to all subsequent game updates as well.

On March 26, the team will host a livestream dedicated to quality-of-life improvements, and on March 31—a livestream about seasons in ESO, starting with the launch of the Zero Season on April 2 and covering future content.
