The Elder Scrolls fans want to honor the memory of a well-known guide author in the sixth installment

The The Elder Scrolls fan community is asking Bethesda to include a mention of 33‑year‑old Mackenzie Rolls, who died unexpectedly last Sunday, in The Elder Scrolls VI. A petition sprang up quickly as a way to get the developers' attention. Supporters say Rolls produced many practical guides for the series — e.g., tutorials and lore explainers — and would like to see his name appear in the next game.

"His how‑tos and lore essays helped a lot of players sink into Tamriel more fully and expanded how they understood the setting," the petition authors wrote.

Earlier, Todd Howard said the sixth "Scrolls" entry will be made in the spirit of the series. No release date has been announced; Howard has also said it definitely won’t come out before GTA VI, which is set for November 19, 2026 — so any in‑game tribute, if it happens, may be some time off.
