Raven Software has published the list of changes for the latest update of Call of Duty: Warzone in Season Two. The patch affected the Killstreak system in various modes and also fixed several annoying bugs.
The developers have significantly overhauled the frequency of Killstreak appearances. In Resurgence modes, the number of such items in supply boxes has been reduced by 50%, and they now drop from the ground 25% less frequently. The changes also affected the ranked mode. In the classic Battle Royale, the total number of Killstreaks has been reduced by 10%.
Specific types were addressed separately:
- Precision Airstrike
- Napalm Strike
- Cluster Strike
- Bunker Buster
Their activation radius has been reduced from 255 to 150 meters. Previously, up to three Killstreaks could be active in a zone; now, no more than two are allowed. Furthermore, only one type is permitted within the radius.
The studio explained the logic: individually, a player can use one specific Killstreak every 20 seconds, and a squad is limited to one active Killstreak of the same type. This gives opponents a window for a counterattack. They promise to continue monitoring the situation.
Among other fixes, they resolved an issue with the "Absolute Zero" challenge for the NX Ravager, which previously wasn't tracking. Also, players will no longer fall through textures in certain areas of the map.
