BALL x PIT Roguelike Gets Its First Batch of Additional Content
As promised, last evening the sensational roguelike BALL x PIT from solo developer Kenny Sun received its first major content update. To celebrate the update's release, publisher Devolver Digital prepared a corresponding trailer and a small 20% discount, which is valid until February 2nd.
The first update, titled The Regal, offers:
- Two new playable characters — Carouser and Falconer. The first wields balls rotating around him, while the second relies on two faithful falcons.
- Eight new balls with their own distinctive effects.
- Three new passive abilities.
- An endless mode. Now, after defeating a boss, players can stay on the level as long as they like (or until the hero dies).
- Support for six new languages — Latin American Spanish, Polish, Italian, Thai, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
Further down the line, BALL x PIT is scheduled to receive at least two more major updates — The Shadow in April and The Naturalist in July. Nothing is known yet about the contents of these patches.
BALL x PIT is available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 with Russian text localization. To date, the Steam version boasts an Overwhelmingly Positive rating of 95% based on over 20,000 reviews.
