Salvation Denied Announced — Cooperative Simulator of Building Huge Structures

Domestic devs have unveiled Salvation Denied, a co-op construction sim where teams (up to four ppl) try to raise absurdly large edifices using oversized machines and deliberately silly tools. The crew doing the heavy lifting: goofy yellow robots with more enthusiasm than engineering sense.

They’re working for a mysterious client on a hostile world; the boss’s orders can get experimental fast. Conditions are grim, and the job often turns into a series of improvisations — build, test, curse, rebuild — under whatever whims the client throws at the crew.

Physics matters here. Every beam has mass and can wreck the whole job if placed wrong; a tiny misstep in support = spectacular failure. Expect moments where a single misplaced brace sends hours of effort cascading into a glorious collapse.

Nature isn’t helpful either. The planet dishes out hazards — meteor showers, acid rain, etc. — that force on-the-fly fixes and creative uses of available materials. If you like problem-solving under pressure, this will keep you busy.

The game leans into cooperative mayhem rather than neat, orderly construction. You’ll clamber over unfinished frameworks, heave parts to teammates, then scramble to buttress what’s left. Voice chat (voip) is distance-based, so being at the top of a tower actually means having to shout instructions downwards if you want them heard.

Toolset highlights include a basic jetpack for traversal plus gadgets like the Gravity Gun and Foam Gun to move or shore up pieces. Heavy equipment shows up too — rideable machines such as the Gravity Tank promise even more unpredictable outcomes. In short: tools that help, tools that break things, and a few that do both.

Salvation Denied is due this fall on PC. Console builds for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series are aimed for 2027.
