Active Matter Developers Showcase Camouflage System for Shells
The development team of Active Matter has announced the implementation of a camouflage system for in-game shells. This feature will allow players to create a unique appearance for their characters, adapting it to specific missions and locations.
The new mechanic provides players with complete freedom in customizing the appearance of their shells. Now, every raid can be prepared with maximum efficiency. Heading to Dogorsk? Choose an urban-style camouflage to help you blend in with the local crowd. Planning a mission at the Headquarters? A sandy color scheme will be the perfect choice for the desert terrain. Each camouflage is designed with the terrain features and tactical objectives in mind.
The developers have devised numerous ways to obtain camouflages. They can be unlocked at various levels of the Monolith, received as seasonal rewards, and earned by participating in in-game activities. This system will allow players to gradually expand their collection of appearances.
It's important to note a unique feature of the new system: camouflages will operate on a hybrid principle. Some available color schemes will be retained after self-sacrifice, while others will need to be unlocked again. This adds a strategic element when choosing priority camouflages for progression.
To better understand the update's capabilities, the developers presented a demonstration of the system's operation using the Liquidator as an example. The new feature not only enhances the game's visual component but also introduces an additional tactical element to mission preparation.
