FSR 4.1 is significantly sharper than FSR 4, all without increasing resource consumption
The library for AMD's new FSR 4.1 scaling technology has become publicly available. Not only does the new version not require additional resources to operate, it also works on RDNA 3 under Linux, just like the previous version.
The file was discovered in the closed beta of the Adrenalin 26.3.1 drivers. Resourceful users on the Guru3D forums managed to extract the library and test it on RX 7000 series (RDNA 3) graphics cards. The results of the initial tests in games like Hogwarts Legacy and The Last of Us Part II turned out to be very promising: version 4.1 provides a noticeably sharper image compared to the previous FSR 4.0.3, especially in rendering fine details like foliage and clothing textures.
