Square Enix Announces Stream for NieR: Automata's 9th Anniversary
Square Enix announced a live stream to celebrate the 9th anniversary of NieR: Automata on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 7:30 PM Japan time (1:30 PM Moscow time). The broadcast will be available worldwide in Japanese via
The stream will feature four key staff members who worked on the game: producer Yosuke Saito, creative director Yoko Taro, composer Keiichi Okabe, and senior game designer Takahisa Taura. They will host a casual talk show lasting about two hours.
After this, Square Enix will hold an additional session exclusively available for Niconico Premium subscribers.
Officially, the 9th anniversary of NieR: Automata falls on February 23, 2026. Square Enix first released the game for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 23, 2017. Since then, NieR: Automata has also become available for PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Additionally, the game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 through backward compatibility.
