Splitgate: Arena Reloaded Gets Update with New Arena Royale Mode
The developers of Splitgate: Arena Reloaded (formerly Splitgate 2) have released a major update, accompanied by the Arena Royale trailer.
In this mode, 24 gamers will battle on one of the selected biomes: Outskirts, Glacier, Drought, Rift. Each death will be followed by a respawn, but the timers will increase. The team that has no players left on the map at a given moment will lose.
Weapons can be upgraded right in the heat of battle, and random events can occur in each round. For kills, teams will receive credits that can be exchanged, and additional equipment crates will open automatically.
In addition to the new mode, the update added the Trihard and Runway maps, balanced various weapon types, and introduced fixes to improve performance.
Recall that Splitgate 2 was released this summer, but due to negative feedback from gamers, it was returned to the beta testing stage. The authors decided to relaunch the game; however, judging by the online player count, this didn't yield significant results. Nevertheless, the studio believes that Steam statistics do not reflect the full picture.
