Sam Raimi Interested in Working on DC Universe Projects
The renowned director Sam Raimi, known for the cult series Evil Dead, the Spider-Man trilogy, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and other notable works, has expressed interest in the DC universe.
In an open conversation, Raimi shared that at a certain point in his career, he seriously considered making a Batman film. He made attempts to acquire the rights to the project, but they were unsuccessful. A similar story happened with another character who has long attracted the director—The Shadow. However, Raimi emphasized that Superman has always been among his favorite heroes.
The director noted that he likes many DC characters and remains open to collaboration. The key condition for him is having an original screenplay. According to Raimi, the story must be true to the essence of the character and must not disappoint fans under any circumstances. He is ready to take on a project if he is offered a plot that truly reveals the hero’s development path—showing their evolution, internal conflicts, and formation.
