Russians are being fed a cam-rip pirate copy of "Avatar: The Flame and the Ashes" in cinemas
The premiere of the third part of "Avatar" in Russia has been marred by scandal. Viewers are complaining that many cinemas are showing a low-quality pirate copy—a "camrip"—for the full price. This recording was filmed from a projector and artificially enhanced by neural networks. As a result, the image is faded, the camera shakes, and the sound is distorted, completely ruining the film's visual component. For some viewers, such a viewing even causes physical discomfort.
The problem is linked to the lack of official materials from the distributor for cinemas. Many advise waiting for the digital release to see the film without technical defects.
