The processor was presented at the January CES exhibition. AMD confidently calls the Ryzen 7 9850X3D the best chip for gaming tasks. According to the company's internal tests, at 1080p resolution, the new product shows a performance increase of about 7% compared to the Ryzen 7 9800X3D model. At the same time, the developers emphasize: the actual speed gain strongly depends on the specific game — in some places the advantage will be more noticeable, in others almost imperceptible.
The technical features of the processor reveal its serious potential. It is built on the Zen 5 architecture and has 8 cores and 16 threads. The total cache size reaches 104 MB, with 96 MB of it allocated to L3 cache. The support for second-generation 3D V-Cache technology deserves special attention — it is this that allows for a noticeable acceleration in data processing in resource-intensive tasks, primarily in games.
