The "Eragon" Series for Disney+ Will Be Led by the Creators of "Rosewood" and "Superman & Lois"
The development of a new adaptation of "Eragon" in series format for Disney+ is progressing: the show now has creators and showrunners. Meanwhile, the screenwriters have been working on the story since the end of last year.
The series, based on 20th Television and the "Inheritance" book series author Christopher Paolini, will be created by Todd Harthan ("Rosewood"), who will then co-lead the project alongside Todd Helbing ("Spartacus," "Superman & Lois"). The producers include Mark Webb ("The Amazing Spider-Man," "Snow White").
The tale of the dragon riders was published in 2002 and adapted into a film in 2006, which later served as the basis for a video game.
