Resident Evil Requiem Added to Wishlists by Over 4 Million Players

With just under two months until the release of Resident Evil Requiem, Capcom employees are boasting another achievement — since the full announcement, the game has been added to 4 million wishlists.

Recall that the previous milestone of 3 million was surpassed in November.

The increased public interest is related to the recent showing of a new trailer at The Game Awards 2025, where developers officially confirmed the existence of a second protagonist, Leon Kennedy. The famous series hero will join new character — FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft.

Grace is completely helpless in combat, so her gameplay is focused on stealth and horror. In contrast, the battle-hardened Leon will continue to fight openly against the undead and mutants.

Narratively, the ninth installment in the series will return players to the ruined Raccoon City 30 years after its bombing at the end of Resident Evil 2. Despite the devastation, the city still harbors dangers and dark secrets.

The title can be played in both first-person and third-person perspectives.

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on February 27 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 with full Russian localization.
