Remothered Author Complains About Omission of His Name in Red Nun’s Legacy Promo
The Future Games Show 2026 revealed Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, the purported final chapter of the series, and the trailer set off a row: Chris Darril — who directed the earlier entries Tormented Fathers and Broken Porcelain — took to social media to say his name was left out of the promo. See his post: https://twitter.com/ChrisDarril/status/1901763246156800000.
Darril’s take is sharp and personal: he thinks Stormind Games is trying to shift responsibility for the troubled launch of Remothered: Broken Porcelain onto him. He left Stormind in 2020, but, he claims, there was an agreement that would keep him credited (and more) as the concept creator — i.e., formal recognition written into the split. Now he says he’ll be using lawyers to press the point.
A lawsuit seems possible; an out-of-court fix could still happen, of course. Fans and onlookers are already picking sides, and the debate isn’t just about a name on-screen but about how credits, contracts and personal reputations get handled in the aftermath of a rocky release.
As a sidebar, last fall Darril’s studio, Little Sewing Machine, released the animation-styled horror platformer Bye Sweet Carole; a follow-up is reportedly in the works.
