Prism 2033 — a futuristic MMORPG about parallel worlds to be released on PC, iOS, and Android
The Chinese studio CyberNest Entertainment has pulled back the curtain on Prism 2033. They’re billing it as a "next-generation futuristic MMORPG" for PC, iOS, and Android — ambitious wording that invites both curiosity and some healthy skepticism.
The setting is 2033, but not the one most of us know: an alternative, tech-heavy timeline where reality itself is layered. A central idea is the so-called "dynamic coexistence of realities" — i.e., choices made in one layer can reshape terrain and opportunities in another.
Visually the pitch leans into a hybrid: cyberpunk grit rubbing shoulders with surreal vistas, all said to be produced with modern graphical toolsets. Whether that will feel seamless or jarring will depend on execution; the trailer hints at scope, not final polish.
Character progression focuses on deep customization via neural interfaces (N.I.) and biomodifications rather than fixed classes. Players get flexible skill builds, able to mix stealth, system hacking, and straight-up high-tech firefights according to taste and playstyle.
Social systems look to be pivotal: the economy hinges on interworld resource trade and factional contests for control of “transition points.” That setup could produce emergent politics — or messy PvP drama, depending on how it’s balanced.
No release date has been announced. The team says development is happening in Unreal Engine 5 (UE5).
