Players in Assassin’s Creed Shadows Pet Cats Over 26 Million Times in a Year

To mark its first anniversary, the team behind Assassin’s Creed Shadows published a set of player stats.

More than 4 billion enemies were stunned — call it 4B for short. Leaps of faith totaled 338M, and shrine visits nudged up toward 160M. Cats got a surprising amount of attention: over 26M pets (26M+). Deaths? Melee combat topped the list of how players bit the dust.

Ubisoft Statistics

Assassin’s Creed Shadows first arrived on March 20 last year on PC and current-gen consoles (PS5, Xbox Series). A version for Switch 2 followed on December 2.

A recent update added a “manual jump”: enable it in settings and characters can jump on demand rather than only when grabbing objects — nice for parkour fans, e.g., those who prefer more direct control.

Ubisoft hasn’t called time on post-launch support and promises gamers new content.
