Pax Dei Developers Answered Player Questions About the New Master Crafting System

The Pax Dei team recently announced a series of changes, including crafting experience and the introduction of the Master Crafting system. Mainframe received so many questions about their plans that they held a Q&A session on Discord and are now sharing answers about the system.

Items created within the Master Crafting system will be items with Item Power, crafted with a 95% or higher success chance. This means any player of any level can create such an item, so there are no restrictions on that parameter.

The chance of obtaining a Master Crafted item will depend on the difference between your skill level and the recipe's difficulty level, so randomness in crafting has several factors. This also means that the higher your skill level, the wider the range of items you can create at the Master Crafting level.

Since the system currently only applies to items with Item Power, the item's effectiveness will be increased.

Regarding master-crafted items, the item icon in the user interface will have additional design elements, so you can tell at a glance whether an item is a master-crafted one. You will also see a bonus to Item Power on the stats panel, and the master's name will be displayed below the bonuses.

The team plans to expand the mastery system over time, so we should see more item types affected by this system and improvements to the types of buffs.

The developers are starting with a few professions and plan to expand them later. In the Q&A section, they specifically mentioned jewelry crafting as something they want to include in the system later.

Another question was whether the item's appearance would change, and the team currently has no such plans.
