Paramount Pictures Unveils Final Trailer for 'Scream 7'
Paramount Pictures has released the final trailer for the seventh installment of the iconic horror franchise 'Scream'. In the new film, the main protagonist Sidney Prescott will once again face off against a maniac in the Ghostface mask — this time, she must not only fight for her own life but also protect her daughter.
The key star of the film is once again Neve Campbell in the role of Sidney Prescott. The actress did not participate in the filming of the franchise's sixth installment but is now returning to her iconic role. Joining her in the cast is Courteney Cox — a constant presence in the series, known for her role as journalist Gale Weathers. The cast also includes Mckenna Grace, Anna Camp, and other performers.
Directing the seventh installment is Kevin Williamson — the creator of the franchise and screenwriter of the first, second, and fourth films. For Williamson, this marks his first experience as a director within the series, which has generated particular interest among fans. The film's screenplay was written by Guy Busick, the author of the stories for the fifth and sixth installments of the franchise. The collaboration between Williamson and Busick promises to blend faithfulness to the series' traditions with new narrative approaches.
The plot of the seventh 'Scream' focuses on family ties: Sidney Prescott must not only confront Ghostface but also navigate complex relationships with her daughter, whose safety is under threat. The creators emphasize that the film will retain the franchise's signature style — a combination of tense horror and meta-humor elements — while making the story more personal and emotionally charged.
The premiere of 'Scream 7' is scheduled for February 27, 2026.
