The popular Wicked Whims mod for The Sims 4, which adds adult content to the game, is launched more than 400,000 times per day. Even a major AAA game could be proud of such numbers.
This was stated in an interview with the German publication Taz by its creator, known under the pseudonym Turbodriver. He explained that this statistic reflects the number of server requests when launching the game with the mod installed, not unique users. Nevertheless, these data demonstrate the project's huge audience.
The developer noted that the mod's popularity grows every year along with the main game. The creator does not consider himself an activist or educator and states that his goal is to meet players' demands for realism, rather than to make statements.
Plans for the near future include adding a new profession of webcam model to the mod, in addition to bug fixes and technical improvements.
