Just Cause Creator Announces Release Date for His New Action Game Samson

Independent studio Liquid Swords has revealed the exact release date for its debut project. A fresh trailer indicates that the urban action game Samson will be released on April 8th.

Recall that Liquid Swords was founded in 2020 by Christofer Sundberg — the former head of Avalanche Studios and creator of the famous Just Cause series.

His new title will tell the story of Samson McCray — a man with a troubled past who returns to his hometown of Tindalston and plunges into a life of crime to earn money and pay off a mounting debt. In terms of gameplay, the creators promise a dynamic third-person action game with a special emphasis on hand-to-hand combat and a variety of vehicles.

Liquid Swords does not position its brainchild as a GTA competitor. Instead of a crazy sandbox, the developers have prepared a story-oriented action game, with a playtime ranging from 10 to 25 hours. During the game, players will perform various dirty jobs, upgrade the main character, and explore the grim locations of Tindalston.

Initially, Samson will launch only on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), but the game will eventually make its way to current-gen consoles. It will be sold for $24.99. Unfortunately, there is no Russian localization.
