Most Players Are Not Against Gay Romance in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Executive producer of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Martin Klíma, commented in an interview with PC Gamer on the criticism related to the game's focus on "same-sex romantic relationship options." He believes that the "cultural wars" on social media have not affected the real perception of the game by the audience — the focus on such relationships concerned only "terminally online dwellers of the internet."

The producer is confident that these discussions have not influenced sales or the overall assessment of the game. According to him, gamers appreciate the project for its historical accuracy, deep gameplay, and story, rather than how it aligns with someone's ideological expectations.

Klíma added that Warhorse always strives to create "honest" games. They don't try to please either advocates of excessive inclusivity or radical conservatives. The studio focuses on the story of the main character and his surroundings as envisioned, even if the protagonist became gay solely for the second part.
