The developers of Wuthering Waves have begun preparing players for the imminent end of the Ames banner and the launch of the banner for Luke Hersson, one of the doctors at the Starchor Academy. We've already had the chance to play as him a bit during the main story, and the character definitely knows about the protagonist's past. Overall, the hero has already been quite tightly integrated into the lore, but the new video and his upcoming quest will certainly solidify Luke's position as Rover's friend.
Luke's banner will start immediately after the Ames banner ends and will last until the release of patch 3.2. Just as a reminder, somewhere around updates 3.3-3.5, we can also expect a collaboration between Wuthering Waves and Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners.
