Kirby Air Riders Receives Unexpected Update with New Mode and Balance Changes
The developers of Kirby Air Riders have unexpectedly released an update. For Nintendo Switch 2 owners, they added support for the GameShare function, which allows using one copy of the game for cooperative sessions. A new set of rules, Sub-In Series, has also appeared, enabling continuous matches with player substitutions. Particular attention was paid to balancing various characters and vehicles. Additionally, the authors fixed various bugs and added a number of features that simplify in-game navigation.
Recall that recently, a major update was released for Mario Kart World. It introduced the Knockout Tour mode to the game, which in its mechanics is very similar to the Grand Prix in Kirby Air Riders.
Kirby Air Riders was released on November 20th. Journalists liked the game, although it didn't evoke rapturous feelings. It was praised for its dynamism, variety of modes, and interesting gameplay. However, some called it one of the worst GameCube remakes.
