League of Legends Disables Duo Queue Due to Matchmaking Abuse
League of Legends has temporarily disabled the "duo" queue mode for high-ranked players. This is due to abuses in the matchmaking system at the start of the season, where some players were artificially creating imbalance.
Playing as a duo is now unavailable all the way up to the "Grandmaster" rank. The developers plan to later restore this feature for "Challenger — Grandmaster" and "Master — Diamond I" pairs. The rating penalty for duos has also been increased to balance their advantage.
Furthermore, the game will soon introduce an indicator showing instances where a player's hidden MMR (Matchmaking Rating) is significantly higher than their visible rank.
Planned improvements to the role autofill system have been postponed and will be released later.
