Nioh 3 Demo Attracted Nearly 40,000 Concurrent Players on Steam
The demo for the action game Nioh 3, which was released at the end of January, attracted nearly 40,000 concurrent players at its peak on Steam. Moreover, the game continues to hold the audience's interest even several days later—at the time of writing this news, over 24,000 users are currently playing it.
The free demo achieved a solid result compared to the original Nioh, which peaked at only 10.6 thousand concurrent players on Steam. However, the Nioh 3 demo slightly falls short of the second installment's figures—in its time, the Nioh 2 demo attracted over 41,000 concurrent players.
Among other games from publisher Koei Tecmo, the trial version of the third part also managed to stand out. For example, the remake of Romance of the Three Kingdoms VII is left behind, having peaked at nearly 19,000 gamers.
Recall that Nioh 3 will be released on February 6 for PC and PlayStation 5. Previously, developers from Team Ninja showed a lengthy gameplay trailer featuring world exploration, battles, and the perils of the Crucible.
