Corepunk has removed equipment from loot—now it's all crafting
The developers of the MMORPG Corepunk have radically changed the basis of the game's economy in the January update, completely abandoning the idea of ready-made equipment dropping from monsters. Now mobs only drop recipes, resources, currency, and consumables. All equipment and weapons must be crafted by the players themselves. This step, although familiar to the survival game genre, was a serious turning point for the already launched project. The team also reworked the progression of the first 19 levels so that mobs are guaranteed to drop T1 and T2 recipes, and toned down the overly generous high-level rewards that were destabilizing the in-game economy. The update requires the community to be flexible and rethink their usual farming strategies.
