Over 2,000 Apex Legends Accounts Banned for Cheating Using XIM Devices
The developers of Apex Legends have announced a new wave of account bans for using third-party devices for unfair play. Today, the XIM device detection system was activated — it has already resulted in over 2,000 accounts being permanently banned.
We are committed to ensuring a level playing field for all Apex Legends participants. The use of any cheats and assistive devices goes against the spirit of the game and will be strictly suppressed.
XIM devices allow emulation of keyboard and mouse operation on consoles, giving players an unfair advantage in control and aiming. Their use violates the principles of fair play and seriously degrades the experience of other participants in multiplayer matches.
This is not the first such measure this year. In January, the studio implemented a cheat detection system targeting Titan devices — at that time, over 1,000 accounts were banned. Both initiatives demonstrate the developers' consistent policy in combating unfair players.
