The developers are preparing a major update 1.1 "Rossbach" for Europa Universalis 5, which aims to improve balance and deepen gameplay systems.
The main changes will affect the aggressiveness of artificial intelligence and the economy. The AI will become less warlike by default, but players will be able to enable an option for more challenging opposition.
In the economy, markets, taxation, and the influence of the nobility have been reworked, and the "Potential Tax Base" indicator has been renamed to "Wealth."
The update will also bring balance adjustments for the Holy Roman Empire, new diplomatic actions, improved army auto-balance, and the ability to block production methods.
All future expansions will be organically integrated into ongoing campaigns.
