The strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era — from Unfrozen, Hooded Horse, and Ubisoft — has been in early access for almost a day, which already gives us a few tidy (and messy) signals that will probably make the devs smile. No official sales figures yet, and Metacritic is still empty; still, Steam users have been enthusiastic: a 92% positive rating after nearly 2,500 reviews (≈2.5k). Concurrent players peaked at over 40,000 — roughly 2x the demo's peak — putting Olden Era at the top of the Might & Magic heap on Steam (Gabe Newell's domain), while Might & Magic: Heroes VI posted a peak about four times lower. One caveat: Game Pass (GP) availability is a factor that can inflate exposure and concurrent numbers.
