Poles follow Brits in attacking Steam over high game prices
Polish gamers have secured support from the Left political party in their fight against Steam's pricing policy. The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection will investigate whether Valve is violating users' rights. The reason is an outdated exchange rate for the Polish złoty, which hasn't been updated since October 2022. Because of this, game prices in Poland are higher than in other European countries and do not correspond to the market exchange rate. If the antitrust authority finds violations, the company could be forced to revise its internal conversion rates.
