Obtaining "Verified on Steam Machine" status will be easier than in the case of Steam Deck.
Thanks to the "Verified on Steam Machine" label, users of the Valve store will be able to easily identify PC-compatible games. And developers who receive it will face "fewer restrictions" compared to Steam Deck verification.
Designer Lawrence Young told Game Developer: "A simple rule of thumb: if your game is verified on Steam Deck, it will also be verified on Steam Machine."
However, in the case of the Steam Frame virtual reality headset, the verification process may be stricter, although Valve "will go through the same testing stages and provide feedback to developers."
