George Martin Wrote the Script for "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" and Hinted at New Dunk and Egg Stories
Ahead of the premiere of "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," scheduled for January 18, 2026, on HBO Max, a series of podcasts with the show's creators has been launched. The first guest, naturally, was George R.R. Martin. He worked directly and very productively on the script, adapting his novellas for television. It seems a continuation is in order.
By the way, Martin does not regret taking on side stories outside of "Game of Thrones": "It was one of the best decisions I ever made as a writer." There are still many stories about Dunk and Egg, their upbringing, and what awaits them in the future.
