Creator of Devil May Cry anime shares statement about season 2 and presents a couple of new illustrations
Studio Mir and Netflix have unveiled two new images for the upcoming second season of the Devil May Cry anime series. The series creator, Adi Shankar, also shared a new statement about the new episodes.
I'm allergic to formulas. I don't like it when successful series turn into comfort food. Devil May Cry will not be a series that runs in place. My goal for the second season was to capture the vibe of 2000s movies, where viewers can't predict the next plot twist.
Then, when asked what was most exciting about bringing Vergil to life, he said the following:
His restraint. The interesting thing is that Vergil is a guy who can stand completely still and yet feel like the most dangerous person in the room. His presence speaks for itself.
The second season of Devil May Cry is scheduled to premiere on May 12, 2026.
