GamerLegion Signs New Coach for Counter-Strike 2
The GamerLegion club has introduced a new coach for Counter-Strike 2. Adrian "imd" Pieper has taken the position of head coach for the roster. Additionally, the club has signed a new assistant coach for imd.
The company announced on social media:
"We announce that imd has officially become the coach of our CS2 roster. Furthermore, we are also happy to welcome Grashog — he has taken on the duties of assistant coach!"
Adrian began his career as a CS:GO player. He played for a number of Polish teams, including Pompa and other mixes. During his playing career, he participated in approximately 15 tournaments. Pieper gained the most recognition as a coach. He worked with Polish organizations such as AGO and Anonymo. It is also known that imd was an assistant to Ashley "ash" Battye, and in early January became the acting coach. In early 2026, he was mentioned as a coach for the FUT Esports team participating in the BLAST Bounty tournament.
Current GL roster:
- Fredrik "REZ" Sterner
- Sebastian "Tauson" Tauson Lindelöf
- Oldřich "PR" Nový
- Milan "hypex" Polovec
- Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski
- Adrian "imd" Pieper (coach)
- Denis "Grashog" Hristov (assistant coach)
Grashog has been competing on the professional scene since 2018. He played for teams such as 500 Rush, SKADE, and others. In March 2025, he joined the German club ESC Gaming. Throughout his career, he has earned approximately $9,000 in prize money. One of his main achievements is first place at the Lorgar Cup tournament in 2023.
Prior to this, Ashley "ash" Battye left his position as GamerLegion coach after five years with the club. Recently, the team was eliminated from the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 in a match against PARIVISION. Ash coached the roster from 2020. Under his leadership, the team qualified for 5 Majors and consistently qualified for other tier-1 tournaments. He began his career back in 2014.
Earlier, the team's rifler Oldřich "PR" Nový summed up the first weeks of the new season in an interview with HLTV. The player touched on topics of leadership changes within the team and plans to regain lost positions in the world rankings. PR confirmed he had seen rumors about a possible sale of the roster but quickly realized it was just "noise on Twitter" and focused on the game. The team's main goal for the season is to improve their position in the Valve Ranking System (VRS).
