Gameplay Trailer and Release Date for the Grotesque Shooter Crisol: Theater of Idols
Publisher Blumhouse Games and developer Vermila have announced the release date for the first-person horror game Crisol: Theater of Idols. A demo is already available on Steam.
The story unfolds in a nightmarish version of Spain, called Gispania. Players control a soldier named Gabriel, who receives a mission from the Sun God and sets off for the cursed island of Tormentosa. He must explore its sinister locations—from shrine ruins to abandoned streets—gradually uncovering the history of dark cults and forgotten rituals.
A key mechanic is the use of blood: it serves both as a health resource and a weapon, creating a risky balance between attack and survival. Gabriel can develop abilities to enhance his combat prowess and upgrade his weapons using found resources.
The plot blends historical motifs, folklore, and religious symbols, creating an atmosphere of a terrifying dream where reality borders on nightmare and living idols.
